This information covers the website at tippmania.com and the application at app.tippmania.com. Both are operated by the same service provider, so a second legal notice is not required as long as the application links here.

About Tippmania

Tippmania is an independent fan project around wrestling prediction games.

Tippmania has no commercial, organisational or other connection to WWE, AEW, New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), TNA Wrestling, Ring of Honor (ROH) or any other wrestling promotion.

Company, league, event and brand names mentioned serve solely to identify and describe the respective wrestling events. All trademarks, names, logos and other identifiers remain the property of their respective rights holders.

Note on prediction games, betting and gambling

Tippmania is a prediction-game platform for entertainment around wrestling events, played in private or closed rounds.

No gambling and no sports betting

Tippmania does not operate, broker or advertise any gambling, sports betting or other wagers. No bets can be placed through Tippmania.

Taking part requires no money stake, no entry fee and no other stake of monetary value. Neither money nor credit, virtual currencies or other economically usable assets are staked on the outcome of a match or an event.

No prizes in money or in kind

Taking part leads to no prizes of monetary, material or other economic value, and to no vouchers either.

Points, standings, titles and virtual championship belts serve solely as playful representation within the respective round and have no monetary value or equivalent. They cannot be paid out, sold, transferred, redeemed or exchanged for other services. The same applies to the Loserweight title and all other honours.

No stakes between members

Tippmania provides no function through which members could agree stakes among themselves, make payments or pay out winnings. The platform holds no betting money, stakes or prize money and accepts no payments in connection with individual picks or results.

Private arrangements outside Tippmania are made independently of the platform and are neither part nor a function of the service. See the section “Note on private arrangements within rounds” below.

A pure prediction game

The picks submitted serve solely to determine points and standings within a private or closed round. What can be predicted are, for example, the winner of a match, how a match ends, or other events of a wrestling show; the resulting points serve only for comparison within that round.

Not a commercial gambling platform

Tippmania is not a betting exchange, not a bookmaker, not an online casino and not a broker of gambling offers. No odds are offered and no stakes are accepted.

Tippmania receives no commission, share or other income depending on which picks are made or how individual matches or events turn out.

Free to use

Use of the prediction-game features is free of charge. There are no paid picks, no premium picks, no paid chances of winning and no way to influence one’s own points or standing through a payment.

Voluntary support for the project

Where Tippmania offers the option to support the project financially on a voluntary basis – for example through an external coffee fund – that support bears no connection whatsoever to a prediction game or its result. Voluntary support is in particular:

• not a stake,
• not an entry fee,
• not a condition of taking part,
• not the purchase of a chance of winning, and
• not a condition for extra points or a better standing.

Supporting members gain no better prospects and no advantages within a round. All features relevant to play remain accessible regardless of any voluntary support.

On the wording

The terms “pick”, “prediction game”, “points”, “champion” and “title” are used in a playful sense only and denote neither a wager nor a chance of winning with economic value.

Note on private arrangements within rounds

Tippmania provides only the technical platform for picking together and for scoring within a round.

Arrangements that members of a round make among themselves outside Tippmania are not part of the service. This applies in particular to private agreements about drinks, food, benefits in kind, personal stakes or other considerations. Tippmania does not call for such arrangements, does not broker them, does not administer them and takes no part in them.

No monitoring of private agreements

Tippmania cannot and will not monitor which private arrangements members make outside the platform. Such agreements are made solely on the responsibility of the people involved. Tippmania has neither knowledge nor control over whether such agreements exist, how they are framed, or whether they are honoured.

No technical support for stakes or payouts

The platform provides no functions to

• deposit money or assets as a stake,
• administer stakes between participants,
• make payments or payouts,
• distribute winnings or prizes in kind,
• set odds, or
• settle private agreements within a round.

The points and standings features serve solely to score the picks submitted, as part of the game.

Responsibility of the members

Where members of a round make their own agreements independently of Tippmania, this happens outside Tippmania’s sphere of responsibility and influence. Those involved are themselves responsible for ensuring that such agreements comply with the applicable law. Tippmania accepts no responsibility for the formation, content, performance or fulfilment of such private arrangements.
