The way I would prefer. Everything to do with the beta happens there anyway – bugs, ideas, progress. Write a post or a comment; send the address for the approval by private message afterwards, so it does not sit there in public.

Works just as well. One line is enough – who you are, what you watch, and the address the promotion should run on.

The email address you will sign in with later. That is the one that gets enabled – if it is missing from your message I have to ask, and that costs us both a day.
Nothing else. What your promotion is called, whom you invite and how you run it is yours to decide afterwards: once the address is enabled, it all goes through the ordinary sign-up inside the application.
Taking part means taking part
A closed beta is not early access to show off with, it is a test with real people. Whoever gets a promotion says something when it jams.
- Report a fault when you notice one – better once too often.
- Say what feels awkward, even where it works.
- Get ideas out while there is still time to change things.
That runs through r/Tippmania, in public and readable by everyone. A question asked there is already answered the next time round – that is worth more than a mail in my inbox.
What you should know
The limits of the beta
Ten Contenders at most
During the beta a promotion holds ten Contenders – not counting the President. Not for technical reasons but on purpose: in a small promotion you notice what gets lost in a large one.
Founding is by request only
Only someone whose address has been enabled can start their own promotion. After that everything works as usual – whom you invite and how you run your promotion is yours alone and needs no approval.
It is a beta
It will stutter. Something may have to be set up again. I handle your data carefully, but I do not promise that every score will survive the whole way.
Anything else?
Thank you for your patience. This is a fan project alongside a day job – a small group is the only way I can keep up when something goes wrong. As soon as that holds, the door opens.
